Our thesis written earlier this year were relative to this theme of collaborative science.
We have chosen to call our collection: a+b=x. Through this title in the form of an equation, we wanted to express our desire to bring together two different entities in order to achieve a common goal, in our case, scientists and public. With this collection, we wish to dissect the different steps that make up collaborative science.

The last volume that I wrote called “From digital to social interactions”. will discuss the ways in which collaborative science takes advantage of design to think about social interactions. Collaborative science programs aim to foster the participation of non-scientists people. There is a great craze around a science "more open".Nowaday, the development of digital technology makes it possible to accelerate and facilitate the development of programs. Various collaborative science programs are still too conventional limited to web platforms and smartphone apps. However, it's possible to develop different devices and thus to renew their attractiveness. Design methodologies shouldn't be used by program initiators as a method to only increase data productivity. Through co-design and other emerging design methodologies, it's giving rise to a new form of solidarity, and technological and social challenges.
